Morgan Minor is a student at Northern Kentucky University, where she is a Percussion Performance/ Music Education major. While at NKU, Morgan has had the opportunity to perform with many outstanding ensembles, including holding the title of principal percussionist for the Northern Kentucky University top ensemble - Symphonic Winds, Brass Choir, Philharmonic and has also participated in the NKU Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Prep Department, and Northern Chorale. French Horn being her secondary instrument, Morgan also held the distinction of principal french horn of the NKU Concert Band and Mellophone of the NKU Pep Band. Morgan has had the pleasure of playing and recording World Premiers of pieces for upcoming composers such as "The Meeting" by Anders Astrand, "Concerto Breve" by Joseph Pastor and "Ignite!" by Eric Knechtges. Along with being a successful concert percussionist, she has also been an active performer in DCA with the Star United Mini Corps. In 2012 she began her second year in the Corps and was named Star United's Percussion Section Leader and received the award for Star United's Member of the Year. While at Star United she has received three first place DCA Mini Corps World Championship medals. The mini corps most recently won first place at the 2016 DCA World Championships. Morgan is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society. As a Vic Firth Artist, Ms. Minor is currently the Front Ensemble Caption Head at Anderson High School in Cincinnati Ohio and the Front Ensemble Assistant Director at Dixie Heights High School in Fort Mitchell Kentucky.
